In Post-Modern Magick & Tactical Magick the author Seth (a pseudonym) has an essay called The Logris.
I don't agree with everything he writes,
but I think he's onto something with The Logris.
The Logris ((your "energy field," "aura," or whatever title you give it)
(I use a Pendant, having a Physical Representation helps me)) is used as Spell Storage, a Medium for Casting, and an Amplifier.
Spell Storage:
Here the idea is to run through your Normal Spell Casting Routine.
Charge it, but DON'T fire it. Instead you put it into the Logris by what ever means you choose.
Medium for Casting:
This is pretty simple. You already did the Rite and Charging. So now, Just use your Logris to Cast it or Fire it Off.
Amplifier:
So you've Charged it & Stored it. Now the Idea is that It feeds off of your "Energy" to stay charged or to gain additional power.
But yeah, I've gotten use from this Idea.
I've combined this Idea with Peter J. Carroll's Chaos Cyberzoo Idea from Cyber-Magick.
The Idea behind Chaos Cyberzoo is wear a Pendant and use it as a Magickal Servitor Storage.
It's a similar Idea to The Logris but you use Servitors instead.
Carroll has Lesser, Greater, and Extreme Observances.
Observances include carrying the pendants at all times, visualization of Servitors' Image(s) on the pendant as examples.
But yeah,
I've got use from these Ideas and kinda combined the two.
I also view it (my Pendant) as a Battery of Power to be Tapped and used as an "Amplifier."
Yarr, this be B.A.S.E. Magick
